Who We Are Seeking

Left Field Labs is seeking talented Backend Engineers to join our team. You will work alongside a group of dedicated and multi-disciplined technologists and designers to bring high quality solutions to market. We count on our developers to write elegant and well-documented code, with a strict eye towards separation of concerns and maintainability. Our developers are creatives, we expect an eye for design, collaboration on interactions, and understanding of overall user experience when building our software.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

• Experience with Golang, Python or Java (3+ years each)
• Experience with SQL databases (eg MySQL, PostgreSQL) through both an ORM and native SQL
• Experience working with microservices and containers
• Expertise with RPC & REST API development
• Expertise with using package managers and environment tools (pip,virtualenv, npm, yarn) Mac and Linux savvy - Must be comfortable working at the command line
• Basic working knowledge of HTML5 and modern Javascript/Typescript
• Experience writing and running unit tests
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
